Help us promote Lake Stevens

The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce is proud to say that we can’t wait for East Snohomish County to go to the Dawgs! We support the proposed University of Washington campus site at 20th Street SE in Lake Stevens.

The Snohomish County communities on the east side of I-5 want the opportunity to send our children and grandchildren to college on this side of the trestle. This is not just a convenience issue; it’s one of preparing for the future population expansion projected for east Snohomish County. In a nutshell, the 105-acre site in the Lake Stevens urban growth area will give the Dawgs room to roam into an eventual four-year university.

The proposed site has excellent accessibility, provides for many attendees a reverse commute, is centrally located and has great appeal for sculpting a campus with an unusually rural learning environment, while offering nearby urban amenities. It’s time to put higher education on the Hill!

The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce urges students, parents, grandparents and businesses to attend the UW North Campus town meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 29 at Cavelero Mid High School, 8220 24th St. SE, Lake Stevens.
