Herald recycles news from liberal echo chamber

After 32 years we canceled our subscription to the Seattle Times. Why? It isn’t a newspaper anymore; it’s Seattle’s liberal playbook, filled with repetitive anti-Trump rhetoric. Any pretext of news is long gone.

We subscribed to The Herald, hoping to find somewhat more balanced coverage. Not so much. It’s the same thing, day after week after month of TDS, a.k.a., “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” Whether you support the current administration or not, it’s just plain boring! I would like intelligent, in-depth, neutral news articles to read and have been sorely disappointed. From The Buzz to the editorial pages, and even your Living section (Alec Baldwin whining somehow warrants a fawning feature story). I now flip quickly through your paper, usually roll my eyes, and throw it in the recycling.

Instead of practicing any real journalism, I think your staff (like plenty of others) just pull the same old stuff off the wire services and call it a day. “Hey, here’s another article trashing Trump! Let’s run it!” Yawn.

So, the liberal echo chamber just gets more entrenched. It’s a dangerous spot to be in once your core readership starts looking elsewhere for information. Your newsroom seems to have forgotten that half the country voted for Trump, whether or not said newsroom members are able to reconcile themselves to this fact. No wonder newspapers are in a downward spiral. If I want this day after day, I can get it for free online.

I’ll stick to my Wall Street Journal.
