Hero deserves attention

Thank you, thank you for your wonderful article and picture honoring that Sultan hero, Kristina Jorgensen, age 12 (“Sultan to honor young hero: Baby sitter will get city award for her actions during fire,” news story, Nov. 30).

It gives me such a warm and proud feeling to know that our USA has so many good kids. Sometimes the news media just prints the negative side of today’s youth.

As a member of the Gold Bar Veterans of Foreign Wars, I’m going to see if we can get up a collection and a nice thank you card for this wonderful girl.
