What’s up with Dwayne Lane? The next thing you know, the Smokey Point/Island Crossing area will be renamed Dwayne Laneville.
Continuing to kick, claw and fight, he now has the backing of Arlington’s mayor, the Arlington City Council and the Snohomish County Council to build his proposed car lot at Island Crossing.
He also plans to build a used car lot next to I-5 in Smokey Point. Plus, every so often he has a huge “inventory” sale on a lot just east of the Smokey Point Boulevard/172nd Street intersection. And we can’t forget the Dwayne Lane fleet sales center set up on the front lawn of a house on Highway 530, which is adjacent to a field that formerly held a billboard stating “Future home of Dwayne Lane’s Arlington Chevrolet.”
When is this guy going to quit? All I can see is that he found the right people on which to practice his advertising slogan – “I’ll take care of you!” I just wish he’d jump on his horse Sweet Pea and ride off into the sunset.
