What will the future course be for the PUD? The customer/owners of the PUD have the power to decide whether they want clean conservation or polluting combustion turbines. Dave Aldrich has been an outspoken critic of combustion turbines because of the pollution issue. There are conservation measures, still available to the PUD, that are less costly as well as non-polluting. Dave is an authority on the possibilities of conservation as an energy resource and is a proponent of cost effective and environmentally friendly alternatives to non-renewable and polluting resources.
I have known Dave, both professionally and personally, for 10 years, and am amazed at his untiring effort to keep up to date on all of the issues facing the PUD. If he is elected, there will be no “breaking in” period to understand the PUD’s problems. He is already well qualified. He is by far the best choice to re-establish the PUD as a leader in the public utility field.
