Mike Hope is desperate. He is showing his true conservative colors by diverting attention from real issues and using economic scare tactics and lies to try to win votes.
A new cable TV ad accuses his opponent, Liz Loomis, of raising taxes by $33 million. This is absolutely false. In fact, Liz opposed all new taxes and never voted to raise them. She did, however, support a balanced budget that created an $857 million rainy day fund, and she supported legislation to cut property taxes for our families and businesses.
Instead of talking straight, Mr. Hope, with $25,000 in backing from the National Republican Party, is airing an additional negative and false ad urging an already weary electorate into voting for him in these tough economic times. Enough is enough. Say no to the last-minute barrage of negative ads and lies. What we need is proven leadership, honesty and integrity. What we need is real economic help. What we need is Liz Loomis.
