I hope that Sen. Tom Daschle’s constituents can see this two-faced man for what he really is – a disgrace! A man who spoke up for Bill Clinton’s bombing of Iraq in 1998, without U.N. “approval,” who now speaks of how “saddened” he is that President Bush “failed miserably” and has no other choice than to do the same in 2003.
Saddam Hussein hasn’t changed and the U.N.’s failure to enforce hasn’t changed. Mr. Daschle is only “saddened” by the fact that it is not “his” president taking action. I would also add that he did support authorizing the use of force if the president deemed it necessary to enforce this final resolution. Mr. Daschle, go away.
