Since two of my children attended Western Washington University, I was interested in the NCAA Division II basketball championship game on Saturday. As I was enjoying lunch in a favorite local restaurant, I also enjoyed the outcome of the game (WWU won).
I didn’t get to see the preview article in the Saturday sports section (page E6) until Saturday afternoon. I started reading, and skidded to a stop in the first sentence.
Scott, Scott, Scott. A deliberately small, tight-knit group of people with a common interest is a “clique.” “Click” is the sound you hear when someone locks the door when you try to enter their clique.
Darn that spell checker, anyway.
