The current proposed low barrier housing location the Everett mayor and his staff are “excited” about happens to house city of Everett’s reservoir three site.
This site contains a 20-million-gallon potable water reservoir and three pumping stations. It serves tens of thousands of customers each and every day.
To house these tenants on this site is not in the public’s best interest. Low-barrier tenants will not respect this property and what it is.
These are not responsible citizens who, for good reason, have lost their way. These tenants are hard-core drug addicts or alcoholics. A number of bad scenarios could occur, including vandalizing the pumping stations or worse, contaminating the reservoir by exposing it to drugs or human waste. A far better solution is the abandoned Village Inn restaurant on Evergreen Way. It will give the tenants close access to public transportation, get rid of this eyesore and not be on our reservoir three site.
