Howdy, pardner

Home, home on the range: American Cowboy magazine has picked the Eastern Washington city of Kennewick as one of the best places to live for cowpokes. Cities were selected based on authentic “cowboy flavor,” a ranching core and a small town feel.

Coincidentally, American Mountain Lion magazine also picked Kennewick as one of the top cities for predators, also noting its “cowboy flavor.”

Sheen in the time of cholera: Actor Sean Penn said he believes celebrity train wreck and self-professed “winner” Charlie Sheen should go to Haiti and put his energies and “tremendous wit” to use helping Haitians struggling to recover from a devastating earthquake, cholera, poverty and civil unrest.

The sound you just heard was 10 million Haitians slapping their foreheads.

Neither does Charlie: A psychology professor at a Chicago university has apologized for allowing a couple to demonstrate the use of a sex toy after one of his classes but doesn’t understand the uproar. “During a time of financial crisis, war and global warming, this story has been a top news story for more than two days,” the professor said.

Before Sean Penn gets any more ideas, Haiti petitioned the United States to revoke the professor’s passport.
