Are you worried that future generations won’t experience the majesty of our forests? Are you interested in adding local clean energy jobs? Are you concerned about our state’s natural resources and environment? There is a solution: I-1631, the Protect Washington Act, will address these problems.
Washington state’s forests, rivers and environment are being depleted. The pine-scented playground of our childhood is quickly diminishing. These forests are not only beautiful, but they also turn our pollution into more breathable air by adding oxygen. I-1631 will replenish our forests so our children can continue to hike the woods and we can breathe healthier air.
Washington’s unemployment rate has recently hovered at 4.8 percent. I-1631 will bring thousands of new clean energy jobs to Washington. These family-wage careers will be distributed throughout the state, so our children can work in good jobs that are close to home.
We are Mothers Out Front, a group that wants to provide a livable future for all children. We have seen the worsening of our air quality and the decline in our natural environment. We worry about what life will look like for our kids. The good news is each of us can do something to preserve our safety and to re-create the natural beauty of our area. Please vote for I-1631 to protect Washington and our children’s future.
