I have never met nor do I know Tim Eyman. But I definitely read about him and have seen him on the news. Never have I heard one good word about him.
Well, I for one support what he has been trying to do with his initiatives. How his personal legal issues go, do not concern me. All he is trying to do is save Washington taxpayers money. And if he makes money off of it, I do not care.
Our elected representatives don’t care about the taxpayers. Sound Transit is taxing us car owners an excessive amount of taxes on our cars. I have paid over $1,500 in taxes just for the Sound Transit part of my taxes the past two years for a system that won’t reach Everett for at least another 17 years. The current representatives are not getting my vote next election. A fair tax on Sound Transit is needed. I-976 is a start. In my opinion, a $100 tax per vehicles, no matter what value the vehicle is, would be fair. But that would be up to the elected representatives.
So, don’t let the commercials using doom-and-gloom tactics scare you into voting against I 976. We have a gas tax to pay for repairs on each gallon of gas you use.
