If Dems keep it up, Bush will win big

If the Democrats and liberals keep up with what they’re doing, George Bush is not only going to win a second term, he’s going to win it by a landslide. It’s August of 2003, the election is only 15 months away. Instead of getting behind their own candidate, their hatred for Bush has so totally obsessed them, all they can do is have “we hate Bush” parties and get letters printed on this page every few days, with the same goofy Internet lies.

David W. Breed Jr.’s Aug. 23 letter, “Iraq war: Where’s the integrity Bush promised?” is a classic example. I don’t want the left to stop doing what it’s doing, but for those who don’t know, I’ll list a few of these Internet lies the left loves to repeat. 1. Bush was selected, not elected: No, the U.S. Supreme Court just stepped in and stopped an illegal action by Al Gore and the Florida Supreme Court. 2. Bush tried to link al-Qaida to Saddam Hussein: He did? When? 3. Bush’s infamous 16 words: The president said that British intelligence reported that Saddam was trying to get weapons grade uranium from Africa. Funny thing, the British stand by this statement and say it’s the truth. 4. Bush said there are WMDs but there aren’t any: My guess is we just haven’t found them yet, or the government hasn’t seen fit to tell us about them.

Bill Clinton said on Larry King last month that he believed the WMDs were there when he left office and still does. I know some of my conservative friends will ask, why tell the truth to the left? Don’t worry, they don’t want to be fooled by the facts anyway, and while they’re ranting and raving, can you say four more years?

**EMBARGO: No electronic distribution, Web posting or street sales before Saturday at 3:00 a.m. ET on Mar. 1, 2025. No exceptions for any reasons. EMBARGO set by source.** House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, (D-NY) speaks at a news conference about Republicans’ potential budget cuts to Medicaid, at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, Feb. 27, 2025. As Republicans push a budget resolution through Congress that will almost certainly require Medicaid cuts to finance a huge tax reduction, Democrats see an opening to use the same strategy in 2026 that won them back the House in 2018.
