I live in the Bakerview high-rise in Everett and was appalled at the lack of patriotism by not flying the flag during the terrorist attack on America on Sept. 11.
Bakerview is made up of people of many nations and cultures and religious beliefs. I ask, what are we teaching them? Our neighbors all have flags flying on their porches. Most all have flags on cars, flying with American pride.
Bakerview gets part of its funding by the federal government and it is dispersed to Bakerview through the Everett Housing Authority.
The reason I received for not flying the American flag was that we have a construction project going. I ask the citizens of Snohomish County – New York has Ground Zero and a flag on its rubble, why not at Bakerview?
