If we leave now, terrorists will follow

Regarding the Dec. 8 letter, “We need to bring our troops home”:

We watch TV daily, listening to the news media give their biased opinion. In Washington D.C., men and women who are ignorant are running our country, sitting in total denial of the consequences of pulling our troops out.

Why don’t we ask the men and women who daily are there sacrificing their lives, so that we continue to live free in this country? They know exactly what is really happening there in Iraq. If we pull out now and bring them all home, we are all asking for complete disaster to come to our own United States of America. The terrorists will follow us here, then those of you who were so willing to share your opinion on what you really think you know, will regret even opening your mouths. I believe that strongly and so do the men and women who are willing to lose their lives, sacrifice their all for us, to keep America free.

Ask my son, who will soon be going back to Iraq once again to serve yet another year of duty proudly for our country.

His exact words: “If we pull out and leave Iraq, it will be the biggest mistake that our country will make. I do not want to come and have to fight in my own country, the USA, kill the people who hate us, and are so willing to go to any extreme to see that we are all dead. They are dedicated to killing us all no matter what it takes. They will succeed if this happens.”

Let’s be thankful that all our men and women have saved you and I from much harm and danger. Mark my word, if we pull out, just watch what will happen.
