I’m keeping my mask on out of respect for others

I am a fully vaccinated 70 year old, but I will continue wearing a mask in crowded outdoor or indoor venues (“Trusting a mask ‘honor system’ for the unvaccinaeted,” The Herald, May 26. Not because I have any significant fear of infection, but to put at ease others who have not yet been vaccinated and to set an example of good citizenship.

In any sane society this simple act of civility would not have been the least bit controversial. However … .
