I am writing in response to Scott M. Johnson’s Oct. 19 article, “Huskies’ Price, Stanford’s Luck are two of the nation’s best QBs”:
In the article on quarterbacks, he mentions “2010 Heisman flop Jake Locker.”
Listing Jake as a “flop” was totally inappropriate, being in the profession you are in, and a personal insult.
Here is a young man who put everything he had into whatever he was asked to do. Some with much pain.
His and other Huskies’ visits to Children’s Hospital in Seattle meant more than the Heisman Trophy. Many visits to youth groups and contact with young patients went unnoticed.
Sometimes your choice of words come back to bite you.
