Inflation, border are what matters to most voters

The author of a recent diatribe letter to the editor relies on The Hartman Report. Who is Thom Hartman? According to various web sites, he is a liberal-progressive radio talk show host.

I guess that makes the points made by the author true and correct, with about as much validity as social media where facts are not checked or verified. The important issues today facing our citizens begin with the high inflation rate which affects all or us, the poor more than the elites, but everybody.

Following inflation is the border crisis which the Biden administration continues to ignore even though the vice president was assigned to handle the matter. Someday she may visit the border but I doubt it. It’s tragic that millions are being spent on the illegals while many of our citizens are homeless, have no mental health support, and many seniors are trying to survive on Social Security. Politicians up for re-election avoid speaking to these issues. Hopefully, voters will speak up with their vote in November.
