Regarding the recent death of Sanford “Sam” Kinzer:
Such an untimely and unfortunate event for such an amazing person. So far I have not gone a day without shedding a tear. Sam was a mentor and a family friend; I would like to think of him more as a person that I was fortunate enough to become close with in family life.
He was in my life as I baby-sat his children on an almost daily basis for a few years at a time when I needed a mentor. He was there in my early 20s as I needed to see someone successful who could give me mental goals (I looked up to his success) and be like a parent without really being one. When I needed my independence, he was willing to accept me as part of his family, yet advise me with the respect of an adult.
He always smiled, and he always was straight to the point, and he has my lifetime respect. And I believe that I say this on behalf of the majority of my family and friends that he was a wonderful man and will always be.
Sam, you will always be missed and loved, and you will always live on in your wife, your children, those others that you have mentored, and your good that you have left behind in the world in the charities and foundations that you have started and supported.
