Some people who live near Lake Stevens are about to have some of their land stolen, confiscated, or as the government calls it “ eminent domain” (“Lake Stevens uses eminent domain to build new Powerline Trail,” The Herald, April 25). For what? A walking trail a mile in length, and paved, no less! Wouldn’t gravel be sufficient?
And worse, it will be right underneath a power line. This is dangerous in itself.
This whole project is just a bad idea. I hope these folks win their lawsuit.
