I read with interest the Nov. 2 article about the person cutting trees on DNRland in Snohomish County (“Tree theft is personal for forester”). That person should definitely move to Island County. The county officials in Island County not only condone the cutting of trees on county property, they even let you bring in a sawmill to cut up the logs, sell them and then excavate material from the undeveloped county right-of-way.
