How could we have elected anyone who can support so much money given to banks without strict accountability? Even worse, we are led to believe that these same banks cannot tell us what happened to the money? Hey, am I missing something here? Is it not the job of banks to account for every penny received and spent? When I receive my bank statement, it tells me exactly what I have spent and saved.
It is foolish to give these banks any more funds. It is foolish to give away our paid taxes (and yes, I do pay my taxes) to these “too big to fail” firms that are now saying thank you, citizens of Everett, for taking on our soured assets.
Let’s allow these “too big to fail” firms fail. There are plenty of small banks and credit unions in America that know how to manage their money. A wise lumberman once told me that his business will be kept small and profitable, and well capitalized.
