Isn’t ID required all of the time?

In response to Mr. Robinson’s column about voter ID laws, “Pennsylvania law targets legal voters”: So you mean to tell me all these people you mention walk around without some kind of ID? How do they prove who they are when buying that bottle of booze, or those cigarettes? How did they manage to get a bank account or buy a house, or for that matter, a car.

How in the world do you buy anything with out ID these days? A lot of times I am even asked for my Social Security number. How do you pay your taxes or a speeding fine? Saying there is no voter fraud is like saying there is no crime. You want proof? How about the New Black Panther party that Eric Holder won’t prosecute. I only wish I would run into one of those voter intimidating jerks when I vote. Things would turn out differently.

Robinson says this would help Republicans win; well, on the other hand, the low-handed ways Democrats vote, helps them win. Besides, the state will give you an ID card for free, so what’s the problem? Wake up and smell the roses, Mr. Robinson.
