I don’t understand how anyone can approve of a top-two primary. That would without question prevent any minor parties from being able to get on the ballot in November. And don’t give me any of that “everyone has the chance to vote for the minor parties in the primary” crap. Face the facts, as everyone knows, the vast majority of people do not vote in the primary and no amount of tinkering with the system will get a majority of voters to vote then. I’ll be denied the choice of a Libertarian or Green candidate, for example, in November if only the top two winners were to advance to the final ballot. I will not vote for a person on the ballot simply because he/she is on the ballot.
If my choice is limited to the top two, I will be one voter who will not be voting for state or county offices in November elections. To those in the Grange, please, do not take my choice away.
