What the heck is going on! The present contract has only been in effect for two years. Boeing is bribing employees with a check that will go to the government. Not their pockets. They are reducing the benefits substantially. Increase in taxes will support Boeing’s tax break. We will be the ones supporting the triple seven to stay here. Not the government. New employees of Boeing will not have the benefits that the current employees do. Insurance bennies go down for all and you pay more for less. Pay increases go from every year at a higher percentage to one percent every two years. What an insult to those who care about the work they do and getting the job done. Job morale is way down. People are starting to not care or just not doing their jobs. That makes safety a concern for the aircraft.
The so-called maxing out in pay will take 20 years or longer to do. What is happening in the work force is people not caring any more. Still want to fly? We don’t. Demoralize the workers, you get nothing. Look at the 787.
