It hit the mark on Medicare bill

Thanks for another great column by Ellen Goodman on Dec. 7. Her viewpoint expressed in “What will we have left for kids?” is right on! The Medicare prescription bill will do more to undermine our children’s and grandchildren’s future than we should be willing to accept. And I appreciated her pointing out that we are doing this at a time when we have cut funds for those truly in need. It’s time we stop trying to fulfill our nation’s wish list by robbing the poor.
