Cell phones. I am glad to see lawmakers making it illegal to talk on the phone while driving. It is distracting and dangerous. I am just as guilty as a lot of people talking on the phone. The problem I have is, after talking to a few law enforcement officers, the fact is that they will be exempt from that law. After the last year, seeing how many officers have had accidents, even though they have gone through driving courses, they are no better at driving than we are and should have to obey the same law we do.
I was taught to obey the law. I think they should do the same. I get the impression that they have the saying, “Do as I say, not as I do.”
