The very mention of the word abortion will silence a crowd to a hush or cause the crowd to erupt into loud and divisive arguments. Why? Did we not settle this issue 31 years ago, on Jan. 22, 1973? How many more years will this issue continue to divide America?
A statement is made on the Priests For Life Web site that “abortion will not end until America sees abortion” for what it is (killing of the pre-born infant). Thankfully, Congress passed and the president signed the partial-birth abortion ban. These infants were killed after being born up to their neck, then a “doctor” would puncture the back of the child’s skull, and believe it or not, he would use suction to remove the infant’s brain. Unbelievable!
Recently, I received a brochure from Priests For Life which described the intricate nature of a woman’s body during pregnancy and the enormous chemical changes that take place as her body prepares and welcomes this new baby. This brochure described how, if the pregnancy is interrupted by an abortion, the natural chemistry (process) is vastly interrupted and challenged, likely putting at risk future healthy pregnancies and subsequent births.
