Senate passage of the Wild Sky Wilderness bill is great news! With early snow and the ski season under way in the county, now is an excellent time to take a look at our “back yard” in its winter setting and see for yourself what will be protected if the bill becomes law. I commend The Herald for its support and also encourage Rep. Jennifer Dunn to lead the Republican members of the state congressional delegation to work for House passage. With overwhelming public support for the bill and the president’s willingness to sign the proposal, by this time next year Wild Sky could become a welcome reality.
