Microsoft’s new ad campaign featuring Jerry Seinfeld made its debut, and the reviewers say it was, um … breathtaking.
In the first ad, Jerry and Bill Gates meet in a mall and talk about nothing for 90 seconds. The two hit it off so quickly, next thing you know, Jerry will be taking Bill to the airport.
Microsoft is also getting aggressive on another front. It’s deploying “Microsoft Gurus” to stores such as Circuit City and Best Buy. It’s a risky move, considering the potential for nerd warfare if the gurus cross paths with the Geek Squad.
The gurus will assist customers and give demonstrations of how the company’s products work together — at least how they would work together, if they could just get that error message to go away.
