The Monday letter regarding health care (“Repeating lies isn’t real debate”) reads as if the writer copied Nancy Pelosi’s play book. He attributes all the negative comments about the Democrats’ health care plan on Republican thugs. I am a Republican and proud of it.
Moreover, I have some real concerns about the health care plan now being debated in Congress. Does that qualify me as a thug? The truth is no one, not even our own representatives in Congress, seem to know what is in the present bill. However, we do know that some of the language in the bill will leave interpretation up to government bureaucrats. That could present a nightmare to the public.
We often hear the phrase, “The devil is in the details.” It will be a devil’s playground if Congress leaves major details of any health care plan up to bureaucratic interpretation.
