I am 89 and have served, supported and been so thank for America, the land of my birth. But saddened and disappointed to see the way that the U.S has gone since the last presidential election. In the past, it was the American Way, no matter how you voted, to accept the outcome as the will of the people, knowing there would be another election in four years.
No other U.S. president has had to endure what has gone on since the last election; a lack of common civility, support and respect the office deserves. Congress basically shut down, spending all their taxpayer-paid time finding fault, searching for grounds to impeach, instead of doing its job.
Please. Please. With the next election so close that presidential candidates are already campaigning, no matter how you feel or vote, don’t put our great country though the horribly sad impeachment process. Instead, everyone, get out and vote and let the coming election do its job selecting our next president.
Then, no matter what, show support and respect that the office deserves, with Congress working together for the good of our great country
