The last several months my mailbox has been filled with deceptive campaign literature from numerous sources. As I read this literature, I have become more and more upset with the lies and deceit passed off as reliable information about the candidate under attack.
Whatever happened to the days of gentlemanly politics? In light of recent events in our country, it’s time for the disgusting lack of integrity that has plagued American politics to stop immediately. I implore the candidates to embrace the ethics and morals that have made this country great. Please talk about why your skills and talents make you an ideal candidate for the office sought, instead of relying on attack pieces that tear down and misrepresent your opponent.
One candidate that has been under a constant barrage of misrepresentation is Rep. Joe Marine from the 21st legislative district. Joe is not a fringe candidate who stands for oppressive/destructive politics, but rather he is a husband, father and concerned citizen who is working hard for responsible solutions to the many critical issues we face.
Contrary to what his opponent would like us to believe, Rep. Marine is not interested in poisoning our streams and lakes. He is not trying to take away choice. Ignore these misrepresentations and get to know the truth about Rep. Marine. You will find that he is not out-of-step with the interests of his friends and neighbors in the 21st district.
