The most disturbing shortcoming I see in county council candidate Jeff Sax, is his apparent lack of a fundamental understanding of the job he is seeking. By now, anyone following this race, is aware of Sax’s goofy interpretation of the county tax structure. Likewise, we’ve been mystified by his periodic wild pronouncements, regarding where the county’s money comes from and who controls it.
Recently, Sax described Snohomish County as “cash starving” (his words), yet he has gone on record as looking forward to the county entering into a costly and protracted legal battle with the state, should the deceptively named “Right to Plow” Initiative pass. This is not the kind of management we want or expect from our council members.
Jeff Sax, has not done his homework. This may explain his reliance on untruths and fabrications. When waging a campaign against an effective, reasonable incumbent like Dave Somers, the favorite tool of the demagogue is fiction.
