Jefferson predicted very predicament

The people protesting outside financial institutions and Wall Street have a legitimate reason for the protests.

The American people loaned those institutions money to keep them from going under. They seem to be hoarding it, instead of helping people who are trying to keep their homes. It’s just grab, grab, grab.

Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers, principal author of our Constitution, and third president of the United States, had this to say: “The end of Democracy and the defeat of the American revolution will occur when the government falls into the hands of lending institutions and moneyed corporations.”

Does that sound familiar?
