Julie Muhlstein and Dan Bates served Herald readers well

Julie Muhlstein’s history with the Everett Daily Herald establishes that she is a major credit to The Herald and our community. She has utilized her personal experience with tragedies, which always leave a lasting mark and eloquently covered many such circumstances in our local community.

Her wisdom, talent for writing, and pursuit of stories is a testament to her character and the pursuit of excellence. She has moved us and aided our ability to relate to our fellow citizens.

We shall miss you and photographer Dan Bates. Each of you have established benchmark standards for those who follow in your perspective areas of expertise. We wish for you and Dan the very best in your retirement, so richly deserved.
