To all the Snohomish County voters who were opposed to the eight bond issues offered on the Sept. 19 ballot: You blew it! There must be a minimum number of votes cast in order for the bond to be validated. Every one of the issues on the ballot would have failed to validate if people had not cast “no” votes. By voting no, opponents shot themselves in the foot.
In March of this year, they did the same thing to themselves. Of 18 issues on the ballot, 10 were passed because the no votes validated the election. If people don’t want to pay for every spending scheme dreamed up by every bureaucrat in the state, don’t play into their hands by voting – either yes or no. Either way, if you vote, you pay.
