Anyone who has played golf knows you don’t walk on frosted or frozen greens. Friday’s Herald had a photo of a golfer from Mukilteo walking across a frozen green at Legion Memorial golf course in Everett. (“2011 will dawn cold, clear.”)
He was practicing his chipping game. I’m sure the golf course superintendent didn’t appreciate seeing this damage being done to his meticulously manicured greens.
Again, most golfers with any sense at all know that every step taken on frozen turf will leave a black dead footprint that will take weeks if not months to heal. This man needs to get some respect for the game or go south for the winter to practice his game.
