Regarding The Herald’s front-page coverage of the Hope ‘N Wellness community services (“Everett homeless service faces uncertain future,” The Herald, Jan. 18).
It appears this low-budget program is also in jeopardy of becoming homeless.
To the city fathers and mothers: Please don’t let economic development or aspirations be the enemy of good work and goodwill, regardless of the location.
The Hope ‘N Wellness facility can be granted a waiver, variance or exception to the city code.
The second option is for the city of Everett to work with Jasmine Donahue and relocate to an address that is convenient and suitable for the people it serves. They can use the funds for a day shelter for this purpose.
