The city of Lake Stevens and the city of Snohomish are each trying to annex land north of U.S. 2. Vern Little, the mayor of Lake Stevens, has strongly supported this and he has filed to challenge Dave Somers for County Council Position 5. Dave has been working with both cities to get them to cooperate in a rational, fair process. The councilman in this position will be the key person in the decision process regarding who eventually gets the land.
We don’t need single issue, narrow-viewed politicians with win/lose agendas. Our County Council representative needs to work for the good of all our cities and citizens. Councilman Dave Somers always looks for win/win solutions. I urge you to support Dave Somers so we can have fair and balanced approaches to decision-making.
