It is my understanding that Mark Price is asking us to elect him mayor of Gold Bar as a write-in-candidate. As we all remember, he resigned that position two and a half years ago, using the excuse the job took too much of his time away from his young family.
After taking over from Mr. Price, our present mayor, Ken Foster, has done an outstanding job. During his watch the city has obtained over $2 million in grants for streets, bridge repair and sidewalks down Lewis Avenue for the safety of our children walking to school. It was Ken’s idea to purchase property for future parks in Gold Bar. It appears that a lot of the hard work in building the new city hall, obtaining the grants etc. is over. What makes Mark think he can handle the job this time around? The time and responsibility is even greater that two-and-a-half years ago.
I ask the citizens of Gold Bar to vote for our present mayor, Ken Foster.
