I am relieved that the Herald has endorsed the Kerry/Edwards ticket. In my own decision making I am focusing on three major areas in the presidential election. These are health care, education and the Iraq war.
The following comments from the Kerry/Edwards campaign coincide with my opinions regarding the presidential debates:
Over three debates, John Kerry has left no doubt that he has the strength and character we need in a commander in chief.
Kerry has shown the American people his command of the facts, steady demeanor and well-reasoned arguments.
Kerry offered hope and optimism, and showed that he will fight for middle class families.
Bush pretends our problems don’t exist, and he won’t level with the American people.
Bush denied we have problems with immigration, No Child Left Behind, equal pay for women and the minimum wage.
