I saw that when Sen. John Kerry spoke at the Everett Events Center, his audience was handpicked. That’s OK, I guess. It filters out the hostile people and having to answer hard questions.
However, it seems if the Republicans do it, it is “suppression of free speech” as letter writer Phyllis Minchew said in her letter “Free speech zones smack of police state,” Thursday.
Why are we quick to condemn an action of an opposing group, yet seem willing to use this same action to our own benefit? It seems like a case of selective indignation to me.
