Our most important goal in Granite Falls is to provide a positive environment for your young people in the community. These kids need a positive place to hang out and have fun – a place where they can socialize and give release to the abundant energy they have.
A skate park identifies with the current trends among our youth. It’s perfect for encouraging physical fitness. And it’s a great place to chill. Our community is small, but our commitment to the kids is great. They are our future, and are everyone’s responsibility to nurture and to care for. Volunteers have been working diligently to provide a skate park here in Granite Falls.
The community has been generous to this project in these financially hard times. But we are still far from our goal to complete this project. We are desperately seeking donations for the skate park. The kids have pitched in to help, with physical labor as well as fund-raisers. The naming of the park is up for sale, as well as a talent show that will be held. We would like to ask anyone who is able to donate any amount they can afford to this worthwhile cause. Please send donations to Granite Falls City Hall, P.O. Box 1440, Granite Falls, WA 98252 and mark the envelope “Skate Park Fund.” Thank you.
