In the past there have been many articles addressing meth addiction. The articles were written from the perspective of a child addict, focusing on family suffering.
Recently I have taken a 16-year-old girl into my home (at her request) because her mother is a meth addict. She has suffered tremendously due to her mother’s addiction. Her mother admitted to using meth a few times to help control attention deficit disorder, which she has never been diagnosed with. The daughter has found her mother’s drugs and paraphernalia, and has been subjected to the whole drug environment.
I would really like to see meth addiction addressed from this perspective. Children of drug addicts need to have as much information as do parents.
