Once again, King County displays its inability to be accountable to the residents of not only King County, but Washington’s entire population.
I am proposing a “no confidence” vote regarding the handling of the King County ballots. There is absolutely no excuse for such behavior. In a previous election, members of the King County elections department were fired, and the problem still exists. It is time to examine the real cause of such actions and deal with it, starting at the top!
I am recommending that, given the mishandling of ballots, the state of Washington voids the governor results and schedules a new election between Dino Rossi and Christine Gregoire.
We must demand accountability and performance audits. We deserve so much better than what King County has delivered, or rather failed to deliver.
