I know John Koster. Yes, he believes in God. Yes, he prays for guidance in his life, whether his personal or his political life.
It is important to me that the people I vote for have strong moral values. Many of those in power in the last eight years have shown a sad lack of character. Freedom has always been and will always be costly. It takes courage and great moral responsibility to maintain our country’s freedoms, which includes the freedom to pray as our forefathers did when they established our country. Someone who is willing to compromise his principles and morals is very likely to compromise my freedom.
I know John would like to talk real issues, like the permitting process, which is very costly and is so bogged down that new construction grinds to a halt waiting for the permits. Homeowners’ private property rights are infringed on to the point that they can’t even cut down trees or make minor improvements on their own property without paying the county for the privilege. John wants to streamline the permitting process which will benefit us all.
So in closing, let’s get off the character assassinations and get back to talking about the issues that affect the people of Snohomish County.
