I believe it is important that the people who run our government understand the departments they are running. These positions are too important to have career politicians moving from one elected position to another just to have another elected job.
This is the case in the race for Snohomish County clerk. Sonya Kraski has spent 22 years in the clerk’s office, starting from the bottom and working her way up. Her opponent would have to learn about the organization while on the job.
As Americans, we believe that we can start from anywhere and move up the ranks to succeed. Sonya has proven that she has the persistence and intelligence to rise through an important government office. I have known Sonya and her husband, Steve, for years and find her to be thoughtful, determined and decisive. On top of that, she is the candidate who really understands the clerk’s office and can make the whatever changes are necessary to better serve the public.
Please join me in supporting Sonya for a position that she is not only qualified for, but one she has earned with 22 years of service.
