I have been an enthusiastic subscriber since I moved to Everett from Texas and I really don’t like to complain. However, I am getting really fed up with the lack of proofreading at The Herald. On Oct. 19, I was very annoyed (once again) that your newspaper screwed up the New York Times crossword puzzle. The “puzzle?” was located on Section D, Page 4 and completed there and on the following page as well but in small print! Doesn’t anyone notice this stuff before you run the paper? This kind of stupidity is all too frequent even though it is usually corrected the next day. Where is your professionalism? I know in the scheme of things this is not very important but I look forward all week to the Sunday crossword. You have forced me to say some very cross words, indeed. I regularly pay my subscription for the year but this year I am re-thinking that practice!
