The majority are small family farms that derive the majority of their income in other legal endeavors, most a 9-5 job that helps cover expenses so they can enjoy their right to farm. What it does say is a landowner be justly compensated for taking or damaging his legal use of his own land. For those who do make their living by farming, that land becomes invaluable to him and to you.
